Homeschool Harmony is a small-group piano program that introduces students to the fundamental building blocks of music while learning how to play the piano.

Students develop a strong musical foundation through the study of:

• Rhythm (steady beat, note values, and timing)

• Pitch (high and low sounds, note names, and keyboard geography)

• Melody (patterns, direction, and musical phrases)

• Harmony (how notes and sounds work together)

• Form (musical structure and listening awareness)

• Expression (dynamics, articulation, and musical meaning)

These core concepts are taught through a variety of engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences, including:

• Piano exercises and guided songs

• Movement and rhythm-based activities

• Educational games and challenges

• Digital lessons and interactive tools

• Art activities that visually and creatively reinforce musical concepts

Classes take place in both the piano lab and art room, allowing students to explore music through multiple modalities. Each student has their own digital piano station equipped with headphones, supporting focused individual learning alongside collaborative group experiences. The small-group setting encourages social development, cooperation, listening skills, and confidence, while still providing individual guidance and attention from the instructor.
