Private Students Enrollment Agreement & Policies
By enrolling in lessons at Melodywise School of Music, you acknowledge and agree to adhere to the terms of this cancellation policy. Please review our cancellation policy outlined below:
1. Lesson Commitment
At Melodywise, we believe that consistency is the foundation of musical growth.
Enrollment reserves a weekly lesson time exclusively for your student. This time is held whether attended or not.
Progress depends not only on lesson time, but also on practice at home. Students are expected to:
-
Practice at least 10 minutes per day, 5 days per week
-
Arrive prepared and ready to learn
-
Maintain a positive and respectful attitude
Families enrolling in lessons are committing to a consistent routine that supports long-term growth.
2. Tuition Policy (Enrollment-Based)
Melodywise operates on an enrollment-based tuition system, not a per-lesson model.
Tuition is a flat monthly rate that secures your student’s place in the schedule and includes ongoing instruction, curriculum planning, and reserved time.
Tuition remains the same each month regardless of:
-
Holidays
-
Missed lessons
-
The number of weeks in a month
Lessons are not charged individually, and spots are not held without active enrollment.
3. Tuition Rates (Monthly)
-
30-minute lessons: $195/month
-
45-minute lessons: $282/month
Payment Policy
-
Tuition is due on the 1st of each month
-
A $25 late fee per student will be applied to payments received after the 1st.
Families are responsible for submitting payment on time to maintain their student’s reserved lesson slot.
4. Holiday Closures
The studio will be closed on the following holidays:
-
Easter Sunday
-
Mother’s Day
-
Thanksgiving Day
-
Christmas Eve & Christmas Day
Tuition remains the same regardless of scheduled holidays, as it reflects enrollment in the program as a whole.
5. Rescheduling Policy
We understand that life happens and offer flexibility when possible. Lessons may be rescheduled at any time without penalty, based on availability. While we do our best to accommodate all requests, rescheduling is not guaranteed. No-shows may not be eligible for rescheduling
Because your time slot is reserved exclusively for you, lessons cannot be canceled — only rescheduled.
6. Discontinuing Lessons
If you need to pause or discontinue lessons, a 30-day written notice is required.
This allows us to manage scheduling and offer your reserved time to another student.
7. Communication
All scheduling changes and withdrawal notices must be sent via text to: (863) 296-5221
8. Teacher Cancellations
If your instructor needs to reschedule, you will be notified as early as possible.
Because we offer flexibility with student scheduling, we kindly ask families to extend that same understanding when occasional changes are necessary.
